Technology - Digital Radiography
Digital Radiography can reduce the dose of radiation to the patient by upto 90%. Images are available within minutes and can be viewed in the surgery via the PC. The digital radiography software means image manipulation is possible and the radiographs can be stored efficiently.
In the practices we have O.P.G. machines. These enable both jaws and the teeth to be seen on one x-ray. These are very important in assessing the bone prior to the provision of implants.
